Signal Mountain Youth Baseball League Equipment
3 Signal Mountain Youth Baseball has proudly provided high-quality youth baseball for many years. Here is a comprehensive list of equipment that is needed for each league.
Bats
With the change of league affiliations to Dizzy Dean for 2020, they have amended their bat requirements for the Spring season. All USA Baseball stamped bats, and all 1.15 BPF stamped baseball bats are now legal for use. Tee ball bats can only be used in tee ball. Any non-tee ball bat (metal/wooden/composite) is legal if it is USA Baseball or 1.15 BPF approved.
Tee-ball (3/4/5) may use 2 and 5/8" barrel bats. 2 and 1/4" barrel bats are acceptable as well.
A (4/5/6) baseball may use 2 and 5/8" barrel bats. 2 and 1/4" barrel bats are acceptable as well.
AA (7/8) baseball may use 2 and 5/8” barrel bats. 2 and 1/4” barrel bats are acceptable as well.
AAA (9/10) baseball may use 2 and 5/8” barrel bats. 2 and 1/4” barrel bats are acceptable as well.
Ozone (11/12) baseball may use 2 and 5/8” barrel bats. and 1/4” barrel bats are acceptable as well. If a bat is a (-3) the BBCOR certification must be stamped on the bat.
NO 2 and 3/4” BARRELS ARE ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Helmets
ALL BATTERS IN THE TEE BALL AND "A" BALL DIVISIONS MUST WEAR A HELMET WITH A FACEMASK WHILE BATTING AND WHILE RUNNING THE BASES. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Players in all other age divisions have the option to wear a helmet with a facemask. It is up to the parents and individual players' preference, but is not required.
Chin straps are not required.
Gloves
Gloves have a maximum length of 12.5”
