Registration Instructions

  • SMYB is excited for 2021 and the Spring Season of Baseball!

  • SM Baseball Community,

  • We are looking forward to a fun year of baseball on Signal Mountain. Please review this page for information on Spring registration, as well as information on evaluations and equipment. We have a great group of volunteers who are committed to teaching our kids how to play and grow in the game of baseball. As always, please reach out to me with any questions or if you would like to be involved as a volunteer.

  • The divisions for the league will be as follows:

  • 1) Tee Ball is designed for beginners who are 3-4 years old, but 5-year-olds are eligible as well. (coach pitch, however a tee will be used, if needed)

  • 2) A Ball is for younger players. 4-6-year-olds are eligible to play in this division. (coach pitch)

  • 3) AA Ball is for 7-8-year-olds. (coach pitch)

  • 4) AAA Ball is for 9-10-year-olds. (kid pitch)

  • 5) "Freshman" Ball is for 11-12-year-olds.

  • 6) "Sophomore" League is for 13-14-year-olds. This league will have 'away' games around the Chattanooga area.

  •

  • All ages listed above are based on the date of April 30th, 2021. Whatever age your child is on that date, slots them in that specific division.

  •

  • If anyone would like their kid to play UP a division, it is RECOMMENDED that you reach out to the Board for direction. Advanced skill levels are certainly reason to move up, and we want all participants to enjoy the game at their own level and pace. You as a parent know your kids skill set better than anyone and we will honor your choice.

  • Facemasks on helmets are required for Tee Ball and A Ball. They are optional for the other age groups, but are recommended. Players will need a glove and cleats at a minimum, but helmets are highly recommended as well. Bats can be shared. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. You can learn more on the Equipment page.
